A mildly spicy 2000 Mazda Miata. Car makes 137whp (stock engine with the usual bolt ons, E85, and a MS3 ECU). Handling mods include Xidas, Nine Lives Racing medium downforce kit, Nylatron control arm bushings, big sway bars, frame rail braces, and Wilwood 4 piston brakes on all four corners. Inside is a roll bar, TDR Ultrashield seats, and Safecraft harnesses.
I drive the car on the street (mostly just to and from events, towing a small trailer behind), on the track (HPDE and time trails), and at autocross events.
It's tons of fun and pretty fast even at the low power level, future plans include more seat time, and eventually some more power.
I have many sets of wheels for the car. Currently some 205 Continental ECS tires on 15x8 wheels (street, or rainy events), 205 Bridgestone RE-71RS tires on 15x8 wheels (autocross), 225 Hankook RS4 tires on 15x9 wheels (long lasting track day practice tires), and 225 Falken RT660 tires on 15x9 wheels (time trials).
