Topmarq saves both the buyers and sellers money by removing the reseller component that is often included in used car sales. Luxe vehicles are highly penalized in the current car buying and trade-in process as they are more unique and could take longer to sell. A car inspection is a key part of the used car buying process in which you enlist a qualified mechanic to do a complete review of the vehicle you’re considering buying. The purpose is to ensure that somehow who knows what to look for is inspecting the vehicle vs. just you armed with what you read on the internet. While some people like to think they can check a vehicle themselves, it’s completely reasonable to surrender that job to a professional. See our article on pre-purchase inspections for more info.
Topmarq charges 2 fees. The first is a listing fee that mostly helps us cover costs of getting vehicles inspected and up for sale. The second is a 5% service fee, which is how we make money on the service. When compared to 10% auction fees or dealer markups + doc fees, we believe we offer a very price competitive option.
Submitting a vehicle is easy and free! Just go to our submissions page and fill out some basic information about the vehicle (year, model, make, etc). Once you submit, we will review and get back to you within 24-48 hours.
In order to keep our listings consistent with our values and expectations, we review all vehicles before posting them. We operate within a specific band of vehicle types and as such only accept vehicles that fit within that.

Included in every listing fee is a pre-purchase inspection, ad writing assistance, a build sheet (window sticker) pull where available, and a listing with unlimited photos and information. We don’t charge per photo because those are what make cars sell! Why would we skimp on those?

Topmarq offers work just like you would expect in a normal person to person negotiation. Buyers submit offers which can then either be accepted, rejected or countered by the seller within 3 days.
We publicize the previous offers for every listing to improve the experience for both sides. Buyers get a clearer view of what has already been offered and sellers don’t get bombarded with low-ball offers that are lower than something they already rejected.
All offers on Tomparq have a 3-day window to be responded to before they expire.
We allow a window of 2-business days after an offer is accepted to fund the payment. As the primary mechanism for payment is Wire Transfer, which is processed the same day, this allows sufficient time to initiate the transfer. This limit also helps minimize the number of people trying to hold vehicles without paying for them.
If the offer is below $25,000, you can increase an offer by $100. If it’s above $25,000 the minimum increase is $250.
This is how we ensure that the seller provides you with the agreed upon vehicle. The money is not paid out of the escrow account until you, the buyer, confirm everything is just as you expected. Scammers, be gone!
Our Escrow.com integration ensures that all payments are secure and only managed in a licensed escrow system. In most cases, the payment method must be wire-transfer into the escrow account. This helps verify the payment faster so you can get your vehicle quickly! It’s also much cheaper than other options.

Topmarq charges a 5% service fee to the user purchasing the vehicle. Only buyers who ultimately complete the transaction will be charged the fee. Any buyers who are outbid will not pay any fees.
Because Topmarq is not a timed auction site, we don't have to rely on non-refundable fees like many of the other options available. We are able to charge buyers upon money transfer confirmation instead. As such, your are not charged if the money transfer is not completed. You'll just miss out on a great used vehicle!
Sellers only pay 1 fee - the listing fee. Once their vehicle is approved, sellers are directed to a credit card payment form to make payment. Once the vehicle is listed the seller pays no fees.
