16th Annual Wheels 'N Windmills Car Show

To our loyal Wheels 'N' Windmills Car Show supporters,

During the last two months the car show committee and officers have been monitoring and analyzing the effects that the coronavirus has had on our community and the future impact it will have on events such as ours. We understand the extreme hardships and economical burdens the coronavirus pandemic has created for the local and global economy. One of the basic charters for our non-profit organization has always been to support and give back to our community. The last thing we want to do is add an additional economic burden to our faithful supporters or the City of Solvang or to the health and safety of our participants and spectators.

Although our event isn't scheduled until August 22nd, we have already begun feeling the effects the virus has had in trying to plan and prepare for our event. The economic hardships this pandemic has created are well documented and our staff felt that requesting any monetary support for our event during this very trying time would be unacceptable to our charter. We also felt that delaying our preparations indefinitely while we wait for the virus pandemic to run it's course would not allow our organization enough time to produce the quality of event we have been able to put on in the past.

Currently there exists way too many unanswered questions regarding when, and to what extent, our local businesses and way of life will be able to return to normal. For this reason the Wheels “N' Windmills Car Show organization has decided to cancel this year's event and pending the approval of the City of Solvang, reschedule it for Saturday, August 28, 2021.
