Brought the Hemi 'Cuda to the Liberty show :) Check out the full car profile for the deets.
This blast from the past mixes classic styling with modern muscle. A fully rebuilt and custom designed vehicle, no detail was too small. The exterior does an incredible job of blending the two design motifs into a fluid and altogether separate feel. Modern slats accompany the original shaped B pillar and old-school rear-quarter window. The increasingly popular matte wrap option is sparingly used on the rear panels to mix in a little black as well as the "HEMI' labelling.
The interior of the vehicle follows the trend of the exterior with touches of classic and modern throughout. The dash is outfitted with Dakota digital gauges wrapped in carbon fiber. An NRG innovations quick disconnect steering wheel adds a bit of a racing feel to the inside of the car. As a nod to the model, the seats feature 'CUDA' embroidered leather seats as well as the floormats.
No restomod would be complete without bringing the engine compartment up to modern Amercian muscle standards and this is no exception. Prepare to be fully sunk into the seat with this 550HP V8 crate motor. The 392 Cu In 6.4L HEMI Gen III engine is paired with a 727 Torqueflite 3-SP transmission in an homage to the original. All that power is routed down to the Bridgestone Potenza tires which help the vehicle keep more control than the original thinner ones.
The original 71 Plymouth 'Cuda body is still hidden under the modern upgrades. Steering comes from an RMS Alterktion Hellcat street handling system. The soft ride is assisted by Ride Tech 4.1 front shocks and 4-link Ride Tech 5.2's in the rear. With all that power and speed, this thing needed to make sure it could stop so the brakes were upgraded to Wildwood 90 chrome brake boosters matched with 6-piston calipers and Dynolite discs.
