Custom built dayton coupe from a Five Kit built by Gemini motorsports in houston
This is a replica of the Daytona Coupe from the Factory Five Racing kit. The build was done in Houston by Gemini motorsports. The paint was handled by HK collision, with cy fair upholstery coming in for the interior. When all is said and done this vehicle is beautifully designed and the vision remains true to the original.
The interesting aspect of this build is that it was the first 2004 Cobra powered 'Type 65' coupe in the world. It also sports a rear exit exhaust which had not been done before. The car runs on E85 or 93 flex-fuel and has a fully integrated 2004 Cobra gauge pod and tilt steering column.
The aluminum 4.6 DOHC block pushes 522 HP and 542 ft-lbs of torque. Power is assisted by a Stiegemeier ported blower and eagle H-beam rods. Looking down into the engine compartment located at the front of the vehicle is a sight to see. Beautifully kept and with lots of side access due to the hood lifted mechanism makes a tour through compartment quite interesting. You can see the level of care that went into putting this together to not only push power, but to look clean as well.
The Daytona replica stops with the assistance of massive Brembo brakes. On the front, 13" slotted rotors, 4 piston calipers and hawk pads hang on the wheels. The rear features the 11.6" slotted rotors with the 2004 cobra calipers and OEM brake pads.
The coupe is outfitted with 2004 cobra IRS, Koni coilovers, and a 31 spline differential with lvl 3 axles. Factory five racing A arms round it out. The deep throated exhaust note comes from a 1 5/8" stainless steel custom header by Gemini, and custom stainless steel mufflers/tips.
