Owned since new, my 2006 MX-5 NC1 was my daily driver and weekend SCCA Solo (autocross) toy for 8 years. In 2011, I trophied (4th) at the SCCA Solo National Championships in the C Street Prepared class, after leading Day 1 (in the rain - I had fresh 275/35R18 Hoosier H2O WETS). In 2014, I bought a Ford F-150 FX4 3.5L Ecoboost Super Crew as a tow vehicle along with an open trailer, and it's been a track-only car since then. I finished on the podium at the SCCA Time Trials Nationals in 2018 and 2019.

Engine: Jesse Prather Motorsports-built and dyno'd 2013 2.0L MZR (stock-block and head) motor, with Xero-Limit 1.5 cams, Moto-East aluminum intake manifold and 3" CAI, Grams 70mm throttle body, running E85; PPE custom 1.75" primaries long tube header with 2.5" catless Vorshlag Motorsport-built race exhaust and Magnaflow muffler; ECUTek with Moto-East N/A tune; 190whp @7700rpm and 146tq @5500rpm. Koyo 36mm aluminum radiator, Mishimoto oil cooler, running Mobil1 0w20 full synthetic motor oil.
Drivetrain: OEM 6-speed manual transmission with Speedsport SL-1 carbon/carbon clutch and lightweight flywheel; MAZDASPEED limited slip differential. AWR engine mounts with 70-durometer bushings. Powerflex polyurethane differential bushings. Track Dog Racing battery and ECU relocation; Odyssey PC-680 battery.
Suspension: Guy Ankeny-built custom inverted Penske 8300 coilover shocks, double adjustable with reservoirs, and Hyperco 2.25" ID springs - 800 lb/in (14.3 kg/mm) 7" length in front; 550 lb/in (9.8 kg/mm) 6" length in rear; Hotchkis RX-8 33mm front and 21mm rear swaybars with PowerGrid endlinks; PowerFlex polyurethane bushings all around; MAZDASPEED FSTB. ARP wheel studs and 949 Racing forged aluminum lugs. Mazda MX-5 2009+ steering knuckles and RX-8 front hubs; RX-8 rear hubs, uprights, toe-control arms, and hybrid RX-8 axles.
Wheels & Tires: 18x10.5" front/18x11" rear Enkei RS05RR wheels on 295 & 315/30R18 Yokohama A052 tires. 18x10" front/18x10.5" rear Enkei RPF1 wheels on 285 & 295/30R18 Yokohama AD08R tires (rain setup). 17x10" front/17x11" rear Enkei RPF1 wheels on 275/35 & 295/35R17 Hoosier A7 tires (autocross setup).
