My name is Luke, I'm a college kid studying Computer Science at UNC Asheville, and this is my 2016 Miata Grand Touring Edition! I picked her up in March 2020 bone stock and used with about 30k miles and started my modding journey shortly after. Everything on the car except the tires has been installed by hand over the course of the past year. Performance-wise, it's mostly stock at the moment with the exception of the axleback exhaust from Flyin' Miata, but I am planning on purchasing a full exhaust setup and a turbo kit in the near future. For handling, the Flex Z coils, Stoptech Rotors, Hawk pads, Pilot Sport 4s and FM alignment specs definitely improved cornering from the stock setup. The most unique cosmetic modification is the Carbon wing, which originally belonged on my friend's Genesis Coupe, it was sadly totaled in an accident, but the spoiler survived. I decided to spend hours and hours sanding the damage out and re-cleared the Carbon as best as I could before mounting it to my Miata. If you'd like to see more of the build, head over to my Instagram, @jays_nd.
