This 1 of 100 black roadtser graced the WM exotic show!
This example of the Pagani Huayra sports a mid-engine and it is the successor of the Zonda model. Featuring the roadster body style, this is one of just 100 units made. Partnering with Mercedes AMG to build the engine, they limited the build to 100. The pure lack of demand made the value of these vehicles skyrocket and you'd be hard pressed to find one anywhere near under $2M.
The Pagani Huayra has been around for a while now, debuting back in 2011. Even so, with just a few hundred examples of these cars across the world, they are certainly an incredible treat.
The Pagani Huayra’s namesake is an Incan deity which translates to wind, and it completely lives up to its name with its features. Everything from its howling V12 764 horsepower engine to its sleek silhouette, scream power and aerodynamics. Pagani’s effort to assign carbon fiber and carbon-titanium into about every cranny and panel they could, keeps the supercar at just below 3,000 pounds. This low weight combined with 738 lb-ft of torque, makes the term “wind” very humbling as “tornado” would have been a much more fitting name.
If its performance isn’t enough bang for your $2M buck, lavish material and elegant lines sculpt the body of the car keeping that price tag justified. The interior is minimal to keep you focused on what is important on the track but yet sophisticated with wood trims sprinkled around the cockpit.
With such a limited amount made, its engineering, and the performance it offers the Huayra has taken the success of its successor and built upon its strengths.
