Purchased new and still the single owner, this Ferrari has been babied - as they should be - from the start. Lives in a nicely covered garage but gets to see the Houston sunshine over the weekends during drives around town or occasionally down through Galveston.
This Portofino was the beginning of the shift from the previous California model into something more aggressive and styled while still maintaining the somewhat casual nature of the line. I think Ferrari hit the bulls-eye on this transition. With much sharper looks than the California, it also gives you the full power and experience you would expect from a supercar of this calibre.
After owning the 2016 Ferarri California in black on black I found that the interior and electronics were a bit lacking even though I loved the car overall. I also appreciated the updated exterior and performance that came with the stripping of 80kg from the California.
Once the new Portofino was released, I came across this one at the Woodlands Ferrari and couldn't miss the chance to upgrade! The black was great, but the red really brings out the styling and always makes sure you remember where you parked.
This car has never been tracked or even really pushed to its limits, but the power is always readily available as you drive. The 3.9 L twin turbo V8 pushes 591 bhp and will throw you so far into the seat you'll forget what you were doing. Ferrari put a lot of work into upgrading the somewhat sleepy California to create an option that can compete and it's clear in this Portofino.
